We now have 20-metre, 75,000Kg snatch straps available in stock!

When using snatch straps, it is crucial to prioritize safety. Ensure that all individuals involved in the recovery operation are kept at a safe distance when applying tension. Never place a strap over a towball or wrap it around the axle, as this can cause the strap to tighten around the axle and potentially get cut if there are sharp edges.

Our snatch straps are locally manufactured using high-quality webbing. They are designed to stretch up to 10-15% before reaching their full effect. Additionally, all snatch straps include anti-recoil straps to prevent recoil in the event of breakage caused by excessive horsepower.

For the anti-recoil strap, we recommend using a 6-tonne shackle, and you will need two of them.

The 20-metre, 75,000Kg snatch strap weighs approximately 34kg. Please note that there will be an additional $110.00 freight charge for the excess weight.

These 75,000Kg snatch straps are suitable for SP Harvesters, SP Boomsprays, larger 4WD vehicles with air-seeder combinations, as well as B-Double and Road Trains. They can handle approximately 450-500HP pulling, especially with wheeled tractors.

To enhance safety and pulling effectiveness, we recommend using a bridle on the stuck machine, particularly for SP Sprayers and Harvesters. The bridle attaches to two positions on the vehicle, enabling a center line pull that controls the direction and evenly distributes the pulling load. The 75,000Kg rated 6-metre bridal is suitable for this purpose.

For the bridle, you will need two 12-tonne rated shackles.

All our shackles are European rated.

Remember to respect the inherent dangers associated with using snatch straps around machinery. It is crucial to follow all instructions diligently, secure the anti-recoil straps when provided, and exercise common sense at all times.

Our snatch straps undergo destruction tests using a purpose-built test bench. They are designed to break at the sewing ends to form the eye.

If the webbing strap is cut or damaged, it should not be used. Safety is paramount, and compromised straps should be replaced.
